The Saudi Arabia visa is now available in a simple electronic form since the KSA Government decided to implement an eVisa system.
Saudi eVisa is a multiple-entry travel authorization that makes it possible to visit the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia for a total of 90 days during a one-year validity period.
Eligible travellers can apply for the Saudi eVisa entirely online, with no visits to the Embassy. The whole process takes minutes to be completed while the actual eVisa gets processed within 72 hours of submitting the form online.
Once approved, an electronic tourist visa for Saudi Arabia gets delivered to each applicant via email in PDF form, and once issued links directly to the traveller's passport. This means that the Saudi eVisa does not need to be printed out before departure.
Types of the electronic Saudi Arabia visa
Saudi eVisa is available in one type and that is a multiple-entry electronic visa that allows a total stay of 90 days spent in Saudi.
The validity period is one-year-long and starts as soon as your eVisa gets approved by the KSA Government.
Please note that the total length of stay allowed is 90 days, which means that travellers can either make a one three-month-long visit to Saudi during the one-year validity period of their eVisa or make shorter visits, which total length of will come up to 90 days.
When it comes to the purpose of the stay, only tourism visits are allowed, including:
- going on a holiday
- exploring Saudi Arabia
- making a visit to friends and family living in Saudi
Saudi eVisa Requirements
As is the whole application process, the requirements needed to be met to complete the process of applying for the Saudi eVisa, are simple and easy.
All that travellers need is:
- to have a nationality from one of the eligible countries
- a valid passport that will not expire for the next six months (starting from the planned date of entering Saudi Arabia)
- an active email address to be able to receive the approved document
- access to an online payment method of preference
- a photo of the applicant's face
The applicant's face photo must be:
- clear
- not over-exposed
- not blurry
- showing the whole face of the applicant
Do not cover your face with any hats or glasses to make sure the photo will be accepted by the Saudi Government. The photo itself can be easily taken with a PC camera or a phone camera.
How to apply for the Saudi eVisa
To apply for a Saudi travel visa, all you'll have to do is:
- Complete an online application form with the essential details, such as your personal information, contact details, and basic information about your trip to Saudi Arabia
- Cover the service fee using a selected method of online payment
- Submit your application and wait for approval
The processed by the Saudi Arabian Government document will reach your email inbox within 72 hours. Please note that the processing of Saudi eVisa applications takes place during business days.
Submit your application no later than 3 business days of the planned arrival to be able to receive the needed document on time before departure.
